A Hamster's tale

The hamster rolled on her bed, She wanted to die so bad, She watched Netflix and cried, Two movies back to back. Happy movies, movies of love, But they were not enough, The morning was sad and lonely The night was long and rough. She texted her best friend that night, She said she begged to die, She wished she would close her eyes, And life would say “goodbye”. But something happened that night, Something shook her up, Picking up her phone again, She decided to try her luck. She pinged her little friends and said, “Find someone for me!” An unexpected text, 3 in the morning What did her friends expect? Suitors came the next day, One after, one after, one. Talking to strangers everyday, Her disappointment was gone, And as she became normal again, Anger? Rudeness? None! And then the hamster met someone And it was someone special, For that simple boy reminded her, Of her favourite ketchup bottle. And then they talked all night, Eight hours straight! And hundreds of questions later, The hamster had found a mate.

The note and the Wrapper

Days have passed and days have passed Now it’s almost been a year, Love secretly placed inmy bag, Wrapped in a piece of paper. While I frowned, Weak and sick, When I found it, I knew at once, Somebody was there. “Get well soon”It said, A short sweet note From the two I loved, The only ones in class Who justsaw meonce And knew I was sad. I had received chocolates before, But none had felt so special This little one was unique, Rest were dispassionate, Detached, artificial. So I preserved the wrapper, Along with the little letter, In the deepest end of my bag, Between the white pages Of an old, sturdy writing pad, That no one checks And no oneopens No one peeps or stares, To keep this love away from the world, To keep the love safe there.
