Footprints

Our life may be so short Like the morning dew that's gone as the sun rises But remember we're all created for a purpose Let life be spent on things sublime And serve the purpose of our creation. We're just sojourners in this world Mortal beings dreaming of immortality Journeying through life shaping our destiny Trusting the everlasting compassion And steadfast love of the Almighty. We try to live a life that matters With the guidance of our Creator We may follow footprints of great men Who have treaded their way to eternity With the legacy they have left the world. But we must try to make our own footprints And make our existence more meaningful Have faith that our efforts wouldn't be in vain For time will come, when we're gone It's the time they would realize our worth. Indeed, our life in this world is so short So try to leave footprints in the sands of time In the hearts of those we would leave behind Deep imprints so as to last more than a lifetime It's our legacy that could take us to eternity.
