Poems - Twinkle Johar
I could feel something, Not a void like other days, Sitting on the wet grass, Gazing at the stars, I could feel something. A longing to hold myself, Desperate to shout, But something held me back, Was I lazy to speak up ? I was tired, I could feel something, Not a void like other days, When I’m alone in crowd, When I’m deaf amidst a chaos around, I feel a void, all empty there, Someone keeps screaming inside, Am I lazy to hear ? I am tired, But this is common, I could feel something else today, Something I was craving to tell you, Not a void like other days, Today, I could feel the heaviness and not the emptiness, Maybe the heaviness of the emptiness. Agonized I was to take it out, I wondered how to do it, Never had I done that before? I did. But this time, it was something else. This time I couldn’t cry, Was I lazy to ? I was tired. I couldn’t cry, but wanted to. I could feel something, Not a void like other days, So I chose not to ignore the scream this time, Tired, I tried Only to hear my cry to cry.
