Sunday Poem By Sahin Parveen

SHADE

The Subjugation to the lingering whispers of society
About her – skin color,
intellectual capacity,
religion, culture,
body,
or
how loud she is.
how happy she is.
or
how she is incredibly sane;
because women are entitled
nothing,
but
‘delusional’.
And this is how,
You peel my shade off
one by one.
And You boldly expect me
to stand there,
let you do that?
‘NO!
NOT TODAY”
For,
I will take a stand, and
I will take a chance.
