IN THE REALM OF SUN GOD: A TRIBUTE TO TAGORE ON HIS BIRTHDAY (9th MAY)

The broken song echoed,
in the hall of oblivion,
The strings of sitar lost its melody,
The flute of life ruptured!
The music of the soul,
paled into insignificance!

The Goddess of Muse,
A little pensive,
A little melancholic!
Sent you to the mortal orb,
The buds bloomed,
The brook sang the song of eternity,
The aves inspired the flight of fantasy!
Rejoice was revived,
Rediscovered the soul,
Delight mounted,
Grief abated,
Anguish disappeared!

Destiny was no more-
An act of fortuity,
They conquered their fortune,
Vanquished the foes of the milieu:
Stood victorious!
A brief sojourn,
Infused a power of subtlety,
Revealed the existence of life-
in every dimension of demise!
A poet’s poet,
A creator’s contemplation,
An angel in the dark sky!!
