Poem 1: Can we dream of ‘US’?

Can we dream of ‘US’? In the sheltered marvel of the marauded independence?
As we reach across more than fifteen thousand likes
Can we still find ourselves in the warbling of the shell parrots and toss the broken vestiges of time in thin air?
Days move on, weeks invite sauntering sadness clasped in the chalice of your deep brown eyes…
Can we dream of the shredded frontiers of the mind which never told me that you were mine!!
Let us pause, plan and pluck a vacation then, from the Magnolia garden
And decorate our cemented frenzy for one last time,
In the hope of a succulent morning
When I shall be plaiting my braids and the half-forgotten mirage of ‘US’!

Poem 2: Runglee Rungliot

The hammer, the anvil, and the sickle taste regular dementia,
When Chamkilee views the distant cumulo-nimbus clouds planning to enjoy the December fiesta with fistful hails…
Runglee-Rungliot filled with uncut hedges, rhododendrons, Guras* and candies all across the snowy path…Smelling of sweat, tar, tea and tourists
Dabbling with the bubbled blue-moon bouquet of the night.
With the force to think, Chamkilee on the brink with a cow to moo, she loves being planted too,
With the heaving bosom taut and stiff Chamkilee stops, with bated breath, brief,
The fairy land and the three men in a moon
One on her, two to make her swoon…
Days move on,
Chamkilee returns with a full-moon night that speaks of holy solemnity Books, chapters, oceans Fireflies, covers and potions…
The three men slither down from the moon to pounce on her, to devour her very soon…
Runglee-Rungliot still sings the age-old lullaby,
Chamkilee, tea stories and the hill-gyno feel shy…
Fairy tale, fairy lands, fair amount and moth flies rip open the ultraviolet skin of Darjeeling, as the mother goddess still waits for her SNOW WHITE…

*Guras- Nepali term for Rhododendron flower
