Sunday Poem By Roja Sinha

She was born as a lil pink bud

She was born as a lil pink bud
Adored, cared & smiled at by every eyes around her. Blossomed into a flower as her Womanhood arrived earlier than Spring.
She stood tall and strong pouring out fragrance of her dreams and wishes.
How she wanted to protect her loved ones by the Shadow of her petals and the carefree way she wanted to float around with & against the Breeze.
But the summer sunlight, whose warmth she hoped for was too harsh and fiery.
The Monsoon rain she awaited for luminance was stormy and calamitous.
She lost parts of her beautiful self before the Touch of Autumn.
What remained were wrinkled cold & dry,
As if Winter never Promised to leave.
She cried for help as she shrunken.
Unheard for years, she withered into Coal,
Hard, Unbreakable with depths of Darkness.
But that didn’t break her from hoping for the Light to Shine.
Through the wrecks,
Her zeal remained immortal
as she Ignited within her a fire that burned till Eternity.
