Poetry – Twinkle Johar

There I sat on the terrace floor…
There I sat on the terrace floor,
Thinking why you left?
I’m so busy completing stuffs,
Maybe this made me try a little less.
I’m always in a rush,
Wondering why is it so?
I took a look at the forests ahead,
The arresting beauty of the nature,
And the cluster of clouds that said-
Sun is about to set.
Would I mind to wait a little more?
I asked myself.
I’m always in a rush
Wondering why is it so?
I looked for an answer,
When the chirp of the birds asked,
Would you mind to wait a little more?
Sun is about to set.
Be it work or a movie,
The day felt vacuumed,
As you were not there,
I needed a hug you know,
And you never cared,
Oh! I looked at the sky again,
After the chirp alarm,
To witness the clouds,
That said, feel a little more,
You’re complete.
Before I could understand,
The clouds, the birds,
The sky, the trees, asked me-
Would you mind to wait a little more?
Sun is about to set.
There was no rush.
And I got the answer today,
I guess
I cut off time from things,
To live the rare moments I have.
Would I mind to wait?
I would love to feel a little more,
I was complete even before,
When you didn’t care,
And mocked at my flaws,
You asked me to rush,
While feeling the essence,
I couldn’t, I can never.
Because this incomparable makes me feel a little more.
But I’m glad you did,
I was complete,
Even when you didn’t care.
The clouds, the birds
The sky, the trees
Makes me more than complete.
I rush I know
Only to feel a little more,
When the trees asks me to smile,
And the birds sing a melody,
When the nature comes to caress,
When the sun is about to set,
I’m glad you left,
You made it all so less.
