Sunday Poem By Basudev Paul

Requiem

Passing moment mows the morsel of memory, pinching every bead of walk!
Human creation is a phenomenon, stirs
The entire gamut rouses under the sun!

Only the deceased can’t read his obituary
The rest of the remembrance peels off
The runlets of sight and sanity dirge it
Like the gloaming sunset it goes West!

No sound and fury erupts again to strut
On the mud-made, frail, failing, memory
Relation between the blood doesn’t cut
It’s such a cementing pic that haunts us

On the pyer only a blazing optimism dies
Only the gen Z hopefully ruminates home.
