Language, diversity and dreams: Knowing culture beyond chasms

21st February is not just International Mother Language Day, but somehow, I believe, that this day is a celebration of diversity and multilingualism to know the different aspects of culture. If we consider the ways through several endangered forms of language can be revived, then of course there is a constant need for churning out the best literary and cultural components from those languages. It is true that English for a long time has been considered to be the colonizer’s language, although several changes, the Indian English revivals, translation, and other regional languages of the state and the world have contributed to the overall idea of the new English that we find now.

Forms of dreaming, statements about dream, knowing the chasms in dream and then favouring and nurturing our desires about language, all indicate how still now, we do care about the inception, the formation and the dissemination of a certain language as a vehicle of culture. Language changes, consistency, crossing borders and even different versions of crisis are part of reading a certain language and reading through language. Hence the larger reflection of minds, communities, people, their like and dislikes all become evident in types, formations and in varieties of language.
