ও সূর্যমুখী! সময় সমরে অবসন্ন
গুনে চলেছ সূর্যপথগামী সোপান
ছুটছ সোনালী স্বর্গরাজ্যর জন্য
যাত্রাপথের যেথায় হল বিরাম

যেপথে যৌবন আকাঙ্ক্ষা বিলীন
কৈশোর সারল্য রয় বরফআবৃত
কবর ফুঁড়ে আসে আশা অমলিন
সূর্যমুখীর যাত্রা সেপথে ক্ষুধিত
