Sunday Poetry By Rejuan Sardar

The Dusky Horizon

I must not stop till the sun descend
In the converging beauty of horizon,
Where thy bluenees pales in the dusk
To beget new life’s pleasure to summon.
Where the byway is covered by dust
And the mists have veiled cornfield,
And a rowdy breeze shed the leaves
Kissing thy feet having thee afield.
I must not stop till I witness victory
Of departing birds chirping in the sky,
A gusty wind with a mildly showering
To wash thy dirt away afar or nigh.
Conquer I must the cold by lighting myself,
Not to be doomed in frozen sentiment,
And to witness thy dusky gloominess
Being a thirsty I must go, not to repent.
