Poetry – Soumyadeep Chakraborty

1. Usually I hope not- Soumyadeep Chakraborty

Usually I hope not to miss
Carrying bags uniformed,
Splashes of water,
Raincoats of multilple shades.
The seasaw rides uplifting
Childhood.
Decoded with truth I hope so
Memories racked in row,
Plethora of ply, they are neither
Yours, thoroughly mine.
In this case of adjourned growing,
Like economy of my country
I hope I am one among all
Also, I could be anybody’s who gives
Liberty of expressing hunger,
Equality of shelter,
And brotherhood with the days
I cherish.

2. Roars and Fury

Dreadest apocalypse catalyst like
Showing the unroofed nation
A liferoute,
Chased by the velocity of airy nature
Would it be a new start to endroot?
Somewhere centuries ago,
An Artist has played words upon
Symmetrical picture of such a scene.
– Dedicated and tribute
To ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare

3. The world then…

The world then,
Was a ground where
Smiles kindled on green and greener
Grasses.
Now the remaining hemisphere has
Turned into a match box,
Sticks all poured in,
Waiting to be struck for a
Flicker again.
A square named home
To some evolved into a cell
Only developing into nothing but the epidemic
Of selfhood…
