Pride Month Feature Poem By Nasima Khatun

RAINBOW OVER IVORY WHITE

(In the sky where both the white clouds and the colourful rainbows co-exists)

Myriads of shades are thrown at me,
That I do not know,
Which one of those were once mine,
I scarcely remember of being unicolour;
These colourful wings takes me-
From the blue water to the dark sky,
From the enormous depth to the greatest height,
From the vault of heaven to the palm of hell.
I was just a flat white ivory frill,
Now I’m a versatile rainbow.
Rainbow with more than just seven tint,
As the more we scatter, the more we form.
I took those ‘sinful’ crescent colours,
That was what called by others.
Painted myself multihued,
Now I cannot stop myself from feeling belonged.
