Sunday Poem By Mahfuz Al-Hossain

COMMUNIQUÉ FROM SUBMISSIVE SANDWICHES
Being an easy apathetic appetizer,
Try me only when your hot and humid
hunger reaching out to a sticky saliva level reading seven out of ten measured arbitrarily using a gastronomic scale..
Treat me fairly irrespective of my colour and complexions be it occidental white or oriental brown ;
Don’t ask any question like Shabjanta Wiki about my irregular rectangular subway shape or don’t get disappointed in Casablanca classic triangular love story shape as they have no relation how it tastes;
Or don’t get frustrated having treated with a skinny single catwalk model type of mine with only a hint of microscopic chicken and smokey cheese spread in the middle resembling to a soft-spoken sophomore from Isabelle Caro;
Or an omnivorous pot belly Club who is believed to be my nearest cousin- the Grotesque Gopal Vaar, a royal standup comedian straight from the missing courtyard of Maharaj Krishnachandra of nineteenth century Nadiya.
