Sunday Poem By Kunal Roy

RETURN OF THE HARMONY

The city unfolded its wings,
Basked in the open sunshine,
That touched the rocks and mountains,
With a unique splendour!
Breathed in the open air,
Confined which was once!
The smell of the blooming blossoms,
Braced the tender soul!
I was not petrified,
Nor miffed,
At the sight of the swelling crowd,
That dotted the edges, the city!
Life pulsated,
Smile beamed,
Harmony returned!
Yet a sorry truth,
The darkness has not bidden au revoir!
If the rays are shattered once more,
If the solitude grips the motto of existence,
If the destiny chooses the other path,
O! My City,
Will you be the same beautiful as before?
Will you be the same rhythmic like the gliding will of a narrow brook?
Will you sing the song of eternity again?
