Sunday Poem By Debanjan Bhowmick

You’ll Remain

Darkness gets darker
You’ll remain
Flies that incessantly buzz in my brain
Share your thoughts to me.
The roadside tubelights light dimly
But you don’t cling to their luminosity
You lie in darkness
As intense as a needle’s edge.
It’s my fortune that I now stay within the walls
But the infinite cosmos is at my hands
Guardless you reign in this eternal city like a free bird
You scream, you silently swing, as if you don’t know me
Because of some clear arrogance
Engulf me with your light
I’ll bask in it
Darkness gets darker and darker
But you’ll remain.
