The silver moon clung to the cerulean blue sky,
The faded moonlight fell on the staircase,
Evolved a sense of uncanny ambience!
Shattered the harmony of humanity,
Spreading soul spitting trepidation –
Like the entrailing mist across the mountain chain!
The clock ticked midnight,
Someone knocked at the door,
Sleep broken!
The drowsy charms no more kissed the eyelids!
I shook back to reality:
Watched through the iron casement,
Unlocked the doors!
Void engulfed the vestibule!
Curiosity overwhelmed me,
Befooled the sense of prudence!!
With measured steps I moved,
Crossed the layers of mind:
Deviated from the realism-
Into the dark forests of soul!
Yet scared,
Yet perspired!
The shadow disappeared.
The horizon between us dissolved,
Unspoken,
Unseen,
Unfathomed!!
