Poetry – Sujata Pal

A Deadly Silence Everywhere
The cashes are scattered
Here and there,
Even to steal no one is there.
They can’t call up when they were used
By the flesh and blood for the last time.
Solitary are the streets
As if they too surrenderd themselves
To the ever sleeping land.
What a serious appearance of the earth now?
It seems the nature is mocking at the
Extreme greed and demands of human kind.
A deadly silence has been reigning as if everywhere.
It’s never our that familiar world.
