As the sun took leave of the Horizon
The world got bathed in a warm golden hue,
I could see my path snaking beyond
And it was time to bid adieu, I knew.
On I move, a storm raging my mind
A visage for my face and so much left unsaid,
Worried what lies forth, with tears for whom i left
I trudge ahead, unafraid.
I came upon a part upon where I stood
And beheld what I hadn’t expected all this while,
For the road I followed had forked into two
Which shouldn’t be anything but straight like the Nile.
The part to my right contrasted the other
For it was devoid of a patch of green,
Marred under relentless footsteps of masses
Barren by conventions unseen.
The left, a different world, was lush and pristine
I felt warm and with relief out came a sigh,
For ages this had been the road not taken
But I believed it was time this rule I defy.
Today I look back upon that choice
And the lessons learnt in the end, I voice
The right and the masses cant always be right,
Listen to your heart, be it bright or night
I didand so, rejoice!
