We never walked together,
You did not stared into my eyes,
At a seaside coconut glade!
Neither a cherry blossom nor a mayflower tree showered blossoms over our dreaming togetherness.
We never caught a fish in its glee,
Or watched a bird at flight together.
Yet we know, the fishes and flies that I saw,
Hedges and meadows where you played were ours since aeons!
I loved a birdsong, you brewed mirth out of foaming waves.
I, a moonlit mountain vale,
You, serene vastness of a shingle, cool!
I tredged along the silence of the shadowy byroads,
You measured the width of the seafront.
Yet thy memories and mine are entangled!
I never blushed at your beaming glances.
No lamppost witnessed, you tasting sweat from my nape, beneath the murky dusk.
No swallows lost their way, watching our sweet silence in a complete kiss.
Yet my heart beats your breath,
And your breath carries me into you!!
Yeah! the winter is almost gone,
Crocuses are about to bloom,
Every heart is at gay,
Lassies are out to shop their glad rags.
Me keeping myself busy embroidering my dreams with your sweet words.
To enwrap my soul in gladness,
During the day of love,
When the world celebrates love!!
