Sunday Poem By Brinda Nasker

*Sinners take a bow*

I saw the galaxies scattered on your freckles.
The tangerine and violet sunset cracking on your hips.
The wet forests flowing through your Auburn eyes.
The falling comets caught in your hair.
The passing days merely stuck on the joints of your fingers.

You told me you were my redemption but you were a sinner.
You were the reason for a trillion sunken ships at your feet.
You were the reason Zeus never kept his vows to Hera.
You made Jupiter bleed and put Venus to shame.
You were the reason to Michelangelo’s ruined paintings.
You were the reason the moon tried to compete with the Sun at sunrise but never won.
You were the reason to everyone’s downfall and undoing!

I saw the universe orbit at your waist, you were the answer to everything.
