Poems – Aneek Chatterjee

Yellow Bush

This morning red flowers
bloomed in dark inviting clouds
Decided all of a sudden to fly
& invade the darkness
& get drenched in all accumulated
water particles we call rains,
when dropped on earth. & I started
flying past the yellow bush that
dripped painting on the roadside.
& treacherous rains started showering.
Yellow bush smiled at my plight
& threw colored waves to a dark
chamber I nurtured inside for so many
years. Now I’m getting drenched
inside the yellow bush, like a teenager
who fell in love for the first time in life
